Freak of Nature

Favorite track: Shaman.

Vizva 06:24
And then there was— The world And in this world, there came to be— Life And with every breath, we ask ourselves. For what we don't know today, paves the way for what we will know, tomorrow For what is life— but a question I might lose it all I might lose it all Hello my friend, I see you there Until the end, We'll dance away How long can you see us? How long do you need a reminder, love? I stand— Come take my hand I'll take you to the end (I might lose it all)

Bad Juju 04:20
I couldn't redesign you How can these words define you Relive the pain inside you I'll take a stand, remind you Karma likes to smile She could love you for a while When it comes to you— Words carry empty promise Untamed, you build your fortress My resin bleeds Remind the world inside you Karma likes to smile She could love you for a while But when it comes to you— I tried to build and follow Your pill I could not swallow Bring back your ways I'll tear you away Karma likes to smile She could love you for a while But when it comes to you— lies
3.
Shaman 04:48
Sleep my love The sun rises from the dark Lay down your weary mind Pull back the thread Are you willing now? Take my hand and show me I know the weight of the world I am empty, I become the void Let go your tether— I hold myself together Unbound, rise from the nether Say it again, forever I hold the world together Bound to a heavy fever— Say it again, forever I have left behind my home I won't understand my own— Own

The Journey 05:09
In the valley folds In the darkness grows The shaman lives untouched Watching over us In the shadowed cold The ghosts were made untold (Be)cause you know I'm going there And you know I wouldn't stay Out there lies a storm ahead You my love, I won't let it near (Be)cause you know I'm going there (For) You love, I wouldn't stay Out there's a reason for our lives and I won't let it get away Every now and then I close my eyes Try and look into the dragon's lies I looked away— I've fallen The way I'm cornered, My love I'm bleeding from the lines Alone— my love, I'm waiting for you Untold— my love, I'll find my home (The way) (Be)cause you know I'm going there And you know I wouldn't stay Out there lies a storm ahead You my love, I won't let it near (Be)cause you know I'm going there (For) You love, I wouldn't stay Out there's a reason for our lives and I won't let it get away I'm going there And you know I wouldn't stay Out there lies a storm ahead You my love, I won't let it near (Be)cause you know I'm going there (For) You love, I wouldn't stay Out there's a reason to our lives and I won't let it get away (Let it get away) (I know you will— I know I will— I know we will— I know you will) I know you are the one I know you will become I know you are the sun My baby please become Your shadow casts upon The world will not become Oh god my Baby I Love you I Know you are The one my Love will you Become I Will not see The sun my Love My love— and I love you

Big Land 05:13
I couldn't be another, man, but now you see I'm all but dust and you and me and me and you we're one and all One look back and you're walking Two looks back and you're finally free Hold on— what do you believe? One look back and you're walking Two looks back and you're free All is lost, To me Right behind the open waters Hide behind the broken hearted Wait until the mountain falters On the big land you belong I'm on the run From what you recall Pain is the simplest of ways to grow tall I thought I'd never get back Deep down I've always known that I'm not worth losing all that love And though I can see your veins (I can see) Your skin seems so tightly wound (My love) Right behind the open waters Hide behind the broken hearted Wait until the mountain falters You'll decide you're only for her Ride along the waves you started Fly along like you wanted Conquering what you could fight for On the big land you belong (What lies ahead) I know— I know
7.
Crossover 04:37
Way down in the valley Up high, where the mountains touch the snow I tried to be friendly And they said— Boy you wouldn't grow I tried to save it for you I tried to say it like you wanted I don't even know my love What happened this way Looking out for trouble Looking to crossover How can you leave one another? And how can we be more, lover? I will find a— Way to you my— Love, the way you breathe I'll always breathe Looking for my lover Looking to crossover Slide— So alone— I won't count alone

about

Freak of Nature.

This music was a universe in my head for many years, and a crucial stepping stone towards finding my voice; both what it is and what it isn’t. With all its potential deeply intertwined with the many flaws I can’t un-hear, here it now lives and breathes for you to listen to, share in or maybe just peek in to have a look at the colours. Whatever it is to you, I hope it invites you to question; to create, to think, to feel, and most of all, to grow.

This strange mish-mash was the first self-produced installment of a much larger concept. Check out the accompanying booklet (included in the download above) and you'll find visual hints and story excerpts that will give you a glimpse into the world being built. Some pieces appear chronologically while others are spread wildly about - the intention was an unfolding, twisting and tumbling narrative with each new installment. That said, whether the rest of this project will see the light of day remains to be seen, so maybe just put aside my self-indulgent sh*t, crank your system and blast this weird little album!
